Brazilian football legend Pele attended the first yearly convention hosted by CVC in Dubai.

One of the greatest players of all time, Pele attended the convention as a global ambassador of Emirates Airline.

CVC is Brazil’s largest tour operator overseas and represents 1,200 stores across the 27 states in the South American country. As the official airline of the convention, Emirates is helping showcase Dubai’s latest tourism attractions and services along with promoting the cosmopolitan city to Brazilian travelers.

The 77-year-old Brazilian legend was voted as the ‘world player of the century’ by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) in 1999 along with being elected as the ‘athlete of the century’ by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in the same year.

Pele, the all-time leading goal-scorer for Brazil with 77 goals, led the country to three FIFA World Cup titles in 1958, 1962 and 1970.
