Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku has reportedly agreed a €9 million (£8m) per year deal with Juventus in a swap that will see Paulo Dybala go the other way.

However, the Argentine has taken an extended vacation and will not be present for a medical at Juventus on Friday.

Dybala’s demand for a significant increase in salary from his current €7.5 million per year remains an obstacle in this swap deal.

Goal reported that Mario Mandzukic was offered to the Red Devils, with Juve keen on trimming their wage bill. But it’s unlikely that United will be interested in seeing the Croatian at Old Trafford.

Both Dybala and Lukaku were phased out in the Bianconeri starting line-up last season due to various reasons.

The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo stunted Dybala’s growth and the Argentine was forced to play second fiddle to the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford was favoured over Lukaku at the centre-forward position by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after replacing Jose Mourinho.

Both the players are now in desperate need of a change.
