Perennial Serie A champions Juventus are set for a mega Monday in which deals for coveted centre-back Matthijs de Ligt and midfielder Adrien Rabiot are confirmed, according to reports.

De Ligt, 19, has been chased by the likes of Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United thanks to his revelatory displays for Ajax and the Netherlands.

Tuttosport have now stated that a package worth €80 million – €67m fee, €13m bonuses – has been agreed with his club. Personal terms on a five-year contract of €7.5m per annum, plus €4.5m, have also been ironed out with ‘super-agent’ Mino Raiola.

Rabiot, 24, was also chased by United and Barca, with both clubs eager to take advantage of his free-transfer status after his deal ran down at PSG. A medical has been booked for Monday and an announcement could follow at the same time as De Ligt’s.

Speculation about the pair reached fever pitch on Monday when Juventus’ official Twitter account tweeted a promotional video, with the tag line “Ignite our tomorrow”.

Juve have already wrapped up a Bosman for experienced Arsenal and Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey. A €10m deal to buy promising Roma and Italy Under-21 left-back Luca Pellegrini is close to being signed off.
