Real Madrid ready to sell Gareth Bale at a loss

Real Madrid are prepared to lower their asking price to €70million to offload Gareth Bale this summer, according to Sport.

The Welshman has been linked with a move away from the Spanish capital almost constantly since joining six seasons ago.

Expected to take up the mantle of star player and leading goalscorer this season after Cristiano Ronaldo‘s departure last summer, Bale has instead endured another injury-hit season.

This season has also seen reports of Bale being an aloof and isolated figure in the Madrid squad, and he has been openly called out by team-mates for his inability to integrate properly.

Bale, who joined Madrid for a then-world record fee of £86million in 2013, has been linked with a move to Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

Madrid were hoping to make a profit on the winger, who turns 30 this summer, but have supposedly abandoned that condition in order to cut their losses on the player.
