Cesc Fabregas has completed his move to Monaco, Chelsea have announced.

The 31-year-old will reunite with former Arsenal team-mate Thierry Henry at the Ligue 1 strugglers.

Fabregas made 198 appearances for Chelsea over a four and a half year period in which the club won two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and one League Cup.

“We thank Cesc for his wonderful service and wish him the very best of luck for the next chapter in what has been a fantastic career,” a statement on Chelsea’s official website read.

With the arrivals of Maurizio Sarri and Jorginho this season, Fabregas has fallen out of favour and has seen little playing time.

The World Cup winner with Spain in 2010 has enjoyed a stellar career so far and arrives at Monaco who were French champions just 18 months ago.

However, the Ligue 1 outfit are enduring a tough spell under new manager Henry who took over from Leonardo Jardim.
