Chelsea are preparing a £50m bid for Paris St Germain striker Edinson Cavani, according to the Sunday Express.

The 31-year-old, who has spent six seasons at the Parc des Princes, is ready for a new challenge with those in West London hopeful of bolstering their attacking options ahead of next season.

Cavani has established himself as one of Europe’s best forwards since joining the Ligue 1 champions from Napoli in 2013, scoring 183 goals in 262 matches in all competitions.
