Real Madrid are studying whether to pursue a move for Lyon playmaker Nabil Fekir after they were contacted about landing him, according to reports.

Fekir, 25, was tentatively linked to the Champions League holders last summer prior to a deal with Liverpool breaking down at the last minute. The attacking midfielder has gone on to score six times and produce four assists in 16 appearances, leading to continued interest in his services across Europe.

Marca have stated that Les Gones have grown disconcerted because of the France international’s contract expiring in summer 2020 and there being no decision yet made about a renewal.

This has opened the door to Madrid, who could view him as a long-term replacement for Ballon d’Or winner Luka Modric.
