Man United will listen to offers for Paul Pogba in January, Juventus return possible

Manchester United have reached the end of their tether with Paul Pogba – if the latest reports are to be believed.

According to The Mirror, Pogba has become a toxic influence at the club and are so bemused by the World Cup winner that they are willing to cut ties in January.

Though no club has made a concrete approach, the report goes on to say that the Red Devils ‘will listen to offers’ when the transfer window reopens.

In an ideal scenario for the 13-time Premier League winners, Pogba would return to Juventus in part exchange for midfielder Miralem Pjanic, though Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro is another option.

United brought the Frenchman back from Juventus three years ago for £89 million, which at the time made him the most expensive player in the world.

Pogba had initially left Old Trafford in search of more game time in 2012 and subsequently won seven trophies with the Old Lady.

His relationship with Jose Mourinho has only soured this season, with the United boss reportedly labelling Pogba a ‘virus’ in front of the dressing room after the 2-2 draw with Southampton earlier this month.
