Fulham are preparing for a January move for Leciester City flop Islam Slimani, according to the Daily Telegraph.

New Cottagers boss Claudio Ranieri is looking to boost the club’s hopes of Premier League survival and sees the 30-year-old as the ideal man to help them to safety.

Slimani is currently on loan at Fenerbahce but the Turkish club are said to be prepared to cut the deal short next month as he has struggled to fire in front of goal, with just three strikes in 16 matches.

The Algeria international’s physicality and aerial prowess will make him solid addition to the West London club, but his lack of goals may prove a concern in the long run.
