Liverpool have overtaken Chelsea in the race to land the highly-rated Borussia Monchengladbach attacker, the Sun reports.

The 19-year-old has taken his game to a new level this season, scoring eight goals and providing six assists to help his side to second in the Bundesliga table behind Borussia Dortmund.

Hazard – younger brother of Chelsea’s Eden – has two years remaining on his contract at Monchengladbach and has been continually linked with a move back to the Premier League.

Despite Liverpool’s strong start to the new campaign, some fans believe Jurgen Klopp needs more creativity in midfield, and Hazard is the man who could make the magic happen at Anfield.
