Manchester City, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain target Frenkie de Jong has admitted he is still “not sure” about his future plans.

De Jong, 21, has emerged as one of Europe’s most coveted starlets in 2018. His cultured play at the base of midfield has seen a €75 million auction beginning – with the latest reports from De Telegraaf being that he’s chosen a switch to the Ligue 1 champions.

But speaking to The Guardian, De Jong refused to state anything definitive.

He said: “It’s difficult to say what will happen. I want to finish this season well with Ajax.

“Then we will see. Maybe I’ll stay for another year, maybe I’ll leave. But I am not sure.”
