Paris Saint-Germain are set to beat Barcelona and Manchester City to the signing of Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong.

Ajax director Marc Overmars has placed a €75million price tag on the 21-year-old, and PSG told the Dutch club they would meet that demand, according to De Telegraaf.

The report claims De Jong prefers a move to the French capital over either Barcelona or City, two clubs he has been heavily linked with in recent months.

De Telegraaf also report that PSG star Kylian Mbappe told the club to sign De Jong after the two squared off when France played the Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League.
