Gareth Bale has been a mixed bag so far this season and some suggest that his Real Madrid career may have run its course.

The Welshman has performed well in a few games but has endured plenty of criticism in others while his injury problems have persisted.

Jonathan Barnett, the player’s agent, has told Tuttosport that while Bale is happy at the Bernabeu, a move to Serie A can’t be ruled out.

“Could he go to Italy? At the moment, he is happy in Madrid but thinking of the future, however, nothing is impossible.”

According to Barnett, Cristiano Ronaldo’s move from Madrid to Juventus in the summer has opened players’ minds to switching to Italy’s top flight.

“Juventus have reinforced,” he says when speaking about Ronaldo. “Since the signing, all of the champions of world football are starting to consider Serie A and the look at it with different eyes.”
