Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has disappointed his long list of suitors after he joined Italy striker Ciro Immobile in inking contract extensions at Serie A’s Lazio until 2023.

Milinkovic-Savic, 23, was touted as a €130 million-target (Dh552.4m) for the continent’s grandest clubs after a stellar 2017/18 in Rome that included 14 goals in 48 matches. The midfielder also shone at World Cup 2018 for Serbia.

But no blockbuster move now seems imminent for him or Immobile, whose rocketed in 72 goals in 96 games since his July 2016 arrival from Borussia Dortmund.

“Lazio announces that it has extended the economic contracts of the players Ciro Immobile and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic until 30 June, 2023,” a club statement read.

Lazio next meet Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League on Thursday.
