Real Madrid will have to shell out €120m if they want to sign Valencia and Spain star Rodrigo before the August transfer window deadline slams shut.

Los Blancos have been monitoring the 27-year-old Los Che hitman, who started his career in the Bernabeu youth ranks.

However, Valencia director general Mateu Alemany has told beIN SPORTS that Rodrigo’s release clause will have to be met if he is to leave the Mestalla.

So far, Madrid have yet to lodge a bid for his services although Julen Lopetegui previously worked with the striker in the Spanish national team set-up and that could prove to be a crucial factor over his future.
