Real Madrid’s search for a new centre midfielder is set to continue after Juventus reportedly turned down a €60 million (Dh251.6m) bid for Miralem Pjanic.

Pjanic, 28, has moved into Los Blancos’ view after they agreed to send Croatia’s Mateo Kovacic on loan to Chelsea.

But Tuttosport state that their offer was flatly rejected and the Bosnia international will renew his contract.

Pjanic has developed into one of Europe’s best players since he arrived in Turin two years ago from Roma. He’s won two Serie A and Coppa Italias since, scoring 15 times in 91 appearances.
