Real Madrid have reportedly threatened to report Internazionale to UEFA about their pursuit of Croatia superstar Luka Modric.

Modric, 32, is believed to desire a lucrative move away from Santiago Bernabeu after six highly successful seasons. The Serie A side are prepared to offer extravagant wages, plus a €15 million loan fee and €20m more for a permanent move next summer.

Mundo Deportivo have stated that this proposed method has angered Los Blancos. They believe sponsorship money from owners Suning Holdings Groups will be diverted to pay for the deal as a means to avoid Financial Fair Play infractions, which contravenes UEFA rules.

Modric has scored 13 goals in 257 appearances for Madrid.
