Despite intense speculation this summer, Anthony Martial is set to stay with Manchester United for the upcoming season, according to the Mirror.

The 22-year-old has returned to training after the birth of his child and has been included in the squad to face Bayern Munich in United’s final pre-season fixture.

Jose Mourinho was not impressed with Martial’s decision not to rejoin the team’s pre-season preparations for several days following the birth of his child.

Tottenham have been interested in the player but with the transfer window shutting in a matter of days, United aren’t willing to sell the forward as signing a replacement in that time is unlikely.

United have seemingly failed in their efforts to lure either Willian or Ivan Perisic to Old Trafford.
