Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain completed a move to AC Milan in a three-player swap deal that will see Leonardo Bonucci return to Turin.

Higuain has signed a one-year loan which gives Milan the option of buying the Argentine forward for €36 million.

Italian centre-back Bonucci, who moved from Juventus last year, returns to his old club after being swapped for promising Mattia Caldara just weeks after Caldara arrived at Juve following his transfer from Atalanta.

Higuain scored 16 Serie A goals last season.  He joined Juventus in 2016 for an Italian record of £75.3m and scored 40 league goals in two seasons.

Bonucci joined Juve for £35.1m last summer.

In a statement, AC Milan: “Gonzalo and Mattia are two important pieces of the new era of the club.”
