Willian’s delay in rejoining Chelsea after the World Cup has irked new manager Maurizio Sarri.

The former Napoli coach is not pleased by what he thinks is a ‘strange’ situation and is eager to speak to the player.

“I want to speak to him before I answer these questions,” Sarri told reporters. “I want to speak to him. I am not happy about this situation but before I answer, I would like to speak to him.”

While Barcelona’s pursuit of the Brazilian ended when they signed Malcom instead, the likes of Real Madrid and, particularly, Manchester United remain interested in recruiting him.
