Real Madrid are still monitoring Robert Lewandowski’s situation at Bayern Munich but Chelsea have now lodged an interest as well.

New manager Maurizio Sarri’s is said to have made the Poland international his top summer target, according to the Daily Star.

Despite Bayern’s reluctance to sell their star striker, Lewandowski is keen on a move away from the Bundesliga champions and Sarri is said to have prioritised his recruitment even above that of former player Gonzalo Higuain.

With the Premier League transfer window slamming shut on August 9, the Blues are running out of time to persuade Bayern to sell as their hunt for a new striker continues.
