Liverpool have strengthened their squad this summer but are also looking to secure their most prized assets.

Despite Philippe Coutinho’s departure in January, Mohamed Salah’s meteoric rise and the arrival of Xherdan Shaqiri had to put Sadio Mane’s future at the club in question.

However, the Mirro report that Liverpool are keen to keep the Senegalese international for the long-term and will persuade him to sign a new contract in the coming weeks.

Salah and Roberto Firmino have already committed to new long-term contracts until 2023.

Mane’s current contract runs through 2021 but the Anfield outfit are keen on extending his deal to fend off any potential suitors.
