Chelsea are set to test Arsenal‘s willingness to keep hold of midfielder Aaron Ramsey by tabling a £30million bid for the Welshman.

According to the The Mail on Sunday, the Blues are plotting a late transfer window raid for the 27-year-old, whose contract runs out at the Emirates at the end of this coming season.

Ramsey recently revealed he was hoping to renew his current terms with the Gunners but it remains to be seen where he fits into Unai Emery’s plans moving forward.

On paper, at least, it appears as though Arsenal might be tempted to cash in.

As for Chelsea, the Blues want to follow the acquisition of Jorginho from Napoli with further reinforcements in the middle of the park.
