There have been rumblings over this one all summer but Manchester United are ready to pull the trigger on Croatia winger Ante Rebic, according to reports in Germany.

Rebic, and long-term target Ivan Perisic, have been connected with United for most of the summer following Croatia’s run to the World Cup final.

And Sport Bild claim the Red Devils have been in touch with Eintracht Frankfurt star Rebic’s agent as Jose Mourinho – who seems fed up of United’s lack of signings already – targets another physical and hard-working forward. The 24-year-old comes with a price tag of roughly £50 million.
