Nabil Fekir will not be leaving Lyon this season after his move to Liverpool fell through, the French club’s president Jean-Michel Aulas has revealed.
The France World Cup-winning attacker had looked set to move to Anfield after months of prolonged speculation, however, the proposed £60 million switch didn’t materialise, with Jurgen Klopp instead clinching deals for Fabinho and Naby Keita.
Since then, Real Madrid have been monitoring the 25-year-old but have yet to lodge a bid of substance.
Even so, any offer could now be a lost cause given the Lyon supremo Aulas told Canal+ that the player remains an integral of the Kids’ side moving forward.
