The summer transfer window is open and across the globe there is a frenzy of speculation as players and coaches look for their next moves.

There is plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

Here, we look at the latest transfer deals that could happen very soon.

Let us know your thoughts via Twitter and Facebook.

RAHEEM STERLING

Manchester City may be left with no choice but to sell the attacker next summer should he not pen a new contract, The Mirror reports.

The 23-year-old’s existing deal expires in 2020 and the Sky Blues have offered Sterling new terms.

However, his team are still reportedly mulling over the offer and apparently holding out to see if City will be willing to meet his higher wage demands, believed to be in the region of £300k-a-week – an increase from his current £170k-a-week salary.

According to sources, Sterling, who is currently holidaying in Ibiza following his World Cup exertions with England, could be sold should he not accept the proposal put to him.

Man City have apparently given Sterling an ultimatum of sorts.

MATTIA CALDARA

Both Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund have had offers rebuffed in their pursuit of the defender, Sky Sport Italia reports.

The Juventus centre-back has been widely tipped to leave Turin this summer but the Old Lady are holding out for as much as €40m for the 24-year-old.

It remains to be seen whether either European giant will re-enter the race with secondary bids for Caldara.

Amazingly, the January 2017 recruit from Atalanta has not yet featured for the Bianconeri and spent last season back on loan at the club in which he started his career.

Caldara has earned one senior cap for Italy.

BENJAMIN PAVARD

Benjamin Pavard has agreed to join Bayern Munich from Stuttgart in 2019, according to SWR Sport.

The France international has a release clause of €35 million (£31m/$41m) which will become valid in 2019, an amount considered well below his market value.

It is possible that a deal could be negotiated earlier than that between the two clubs should Bayern exercise their financial muscle.

Sensation: Benjamin Pavard has emerged as a big player for Les Bleus.
