The summer transfer window is open and across the globe there is a frenzy of speculation as players and coaches look for their next moves.

There is plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

ISLAM SLIMANI

The striker’s miserable time with Leicester is set to end this summer as Sporting Lisbon rev up their attempts to re-sign the Algerian, The Leicester Mercury reports.

Slimani, who joined the Foxes from the Portuguese giants in a £28 million (Dh125m) deal in August 2016, now appears on the cusp of returning to the Primeira Liga outfit.

Claude Puel is thought to be happy to allow the 30-year-old the opportunity to leave the club following his return from his loan stint at Newcastle last season.

Slimani has made 47 appearances for Leicester in all competitions, scoring 12 goals in the process.

It is expected he could depart the club initially on loan.

Slimani rarely featured at Newcastle last term.

MARKO ARNAUTOVIC

The West Ham hitman is reportedly being pursued by Manchester United and Roma, talkSPORT reports.

According to sources, the Hammers are open to selling the 29-year-old Austrian just one year on after he joined the club from Stoke City for a club-record £20 million (Dh100m) fee.

Moving forward, he is apparently not a key part of Manuel Pellegrini’s plans at the east London side while the Red Devils and the Giallorossi have shown interest in his signature.

Felipe Anderson’s big-money arrival from Lazio has only served to increase speculation he will depart.

Marko Arnautovic could be set to end his London Stadium stint.
