Sevilla director of football Joaquin Caparros has stated that Steven N’Zonzi will not be leaving the club for less than his €40million buyout clause.

N’Zonzi is fresh from winning the World Cup with France and has been linked with Arsenal and Barcelona this summer.

Caparros however claims no offers have come in for the 29-year-old.

Caparros told Cadena Ser (H/T AS) that clubs interested in the midfielder must meet his buyout clause, in the same way Barcelona were forced to pay the €35.9 million valuation of defender Clement Lenglet last week.

“Steven has two years remaining on his contract,” said Caparros. “We have texted each other during the World Cup and I have congratulated him on his achievements with France, of course.

“We have not received any offers for him and I will say the same to any clubs who may be interested as what we said with Lenglet – he has a buyout clause, and it’s €40m.”
