The summer transfer window is open and across the globe there is a frenzy of speculation as players and coaches look for their next moves.

There is plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

Here, we look at the latest transfer deals that could happen very soon.

Let us know your thoughts via Twitter and Facebook.

MARIO MANDZUKIC

Borussia Dortmund have moved ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign the Juventus forward, according to Bild.

After helping Croatia to the World Cup final, the 32-year-old is set for a summer of change and could switch to the Bundesliga side.

Cristiano Ronaldo‘s arrival in Turin has meant that the Old Lady are happy for Mandzukic to leave the club this summer, despite the fact he has a contract until 2020.

The veteran striker, who scored two goals in the tournament in Russia, has in the past been linked with the Red Devils but has yet to go on the record over his future.

Croatia star Mario Mandzukic was on the scoresheet at both ends in the World Cup final.

WILMAR BARRIOS

Everton are hopeful they can fend off competition from Chelsea and Tottenham to clinch the signing of the Colombia international this week, Bueno Aires-based TV channel TyC Sports reports.

The Toffees have emerged as the favourites to secure the Boca Juniors midfielder’s signature following his strong World Cup showing with the South American giants.

New Blues boss Marco Silva has yet to make a new acquisition this summer but could see Barrios as a replacement for Morgan Schneiderlin, who has been tipped to leave Goodison Park.

The Premier League side will have to splash out at least £16m (Dh77m) to land Barrios, which is his release clause fee with the Argentine giants.

JASPER CILLESSEN

Liverpool are tracking Barcelona‘s second-choice goalkeeper, Mundo Deportivo reports.

The Reds are on the hunt for a new shot-stopper to vie for the No.1 jersey, given Loris Karius’ error-strewn displays.

Simon Mignolet is also set to depart the club soon, meaning it is an area of the pitch in which Jurgen Klopp needs to replenish with significant reinforcements.

Dutch international Cillessen, who is back-up to Marc-Andre ter Stegen, is thought to be happy in Catalonia but the opportunity to play for the Merseysiders could prove to be difficult to turn down.

On the move? Jasper Cillessen could get regular first-team football at Anfield.
