Barcelona line up sensational swoop for Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante in our latest Rumour Mill

As the World Cup draws to its conclusion, there’s another way to get your football fix – by keeping your ear to the ground for the latest transfer stories.

There’s a near competitive-football-free month for most of Europe’s clubs – and beyond – to get deals done, and it could spark a mad scramble with the Premier League’s transfer window slamming shut on August 9.

Here, we look at the latest transfer deals that could happen very soon.

Let us know your thoughts via Twitter and Facebook.

N’GOLO KANTE

Barcelona may be going in for a Chelsea double dip. With the Willian speculation still swirling around, respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims N’Golo Kante is also on their radar.

Box-to-box midfielder Paulinho has already fled back to China after one season in Spain but the signature of Kante, a true holding midfielder, would represent a remarkable change in style.

Midfield misfit Andre Gomes could be offered as a makeweight to tempt Chelsea into parting with a player set to star in the World Cup final with France on Sunday.

MARCELO

Marcelo and Cristiano Ronaldo were best buds at Real Madrid and if Juventus have their way, that friendship will continue to blossom in Turin.

Italian outlet Corrierre Dello Sport speculate that Juve want to act on their new megastar’s wishes by making a swoop for Marcelo.

That would almost certainly mean the end of fellow Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro at the Old Lady, who is thought to have been attracting the interest of Manchester United.
