The summer transfer window for all international deals is well and truly open!

With the rumours growing in pace and volume during this ‘silly season’, it can be difficult and painstaking to separate the stories of some legitimacy from the rest of the noise.

Fortunately, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to do it for you.

Below, you’ll find some of the latest transfer news churned out of the Rumour Mill broken down and analysed for your benefit along with our calculated predictions.

YERRY MINA – FROM BARCELONA TO TOTTENHAM

Yerry Mina enjoyed a decent World Cup with Colombia.

Everton and Tottenham are locked in a two-way battle to sign the Barcelona centre-back on loan, The Sun reports.

Why it will happen: The Colombian, who enjoyed a stellar World Cup, isn’t guaranteed first-team football next season with Blaugrana and a loan move seems beneficial for all parties given the fact he is only going to improve as a player.

Why it won’t happen: Despite being on the brink of signing Sevilla’s Clement Lenglet, the Nou Camp club may feel they want to keep the 23-year-old centre-back at the club and let him develop.

Prediction: Competition for places at Barca will be tough so expect the former Palmeiras man to target a loan move to the Premier League. Both Tottenham and Everton need to strengthen in defensive areas.

Rating: 7/10

ANDRIY YARMOLENKO – FROM BORUSSIA DORTMUND TO WEST HAM

Andriy Yarmolenko is set to move on after just one season with Dortmund.

West Ham are close to bringing the Borussia Dortmund forward to east London, according to Sky Sports.

Why it will happen: Under new boss Manuel Pellegrini, the Hammers are desperate to strengthen and the Ukrainian star ticks all the right boxes so far as his attacking pedigree goes.

Why it won’t happen: The Bundesliga side could push up the price, rumoured to be £17.5 million (Dh85m), for his signature and therefore place the London Stadium club out of a move.

Prediction: Yarmolenko is apparently desperate to leave the Westfalenstadion and would jump at the chance to earn a switch to the Premier League.

Rating: 8/10

EMIL FORSBERG – RB LEIPZIG TO ARSENAL

Emil Forsberg was a standout for Sweden in Russia.

ArsenalLiverpool and Everton are all in the running to sign Sweden’s flying left winger, the Daily Star reports.

Why it will happen: The 26-year-old is on the lookout for a big move and his attacking style would suit the Premier League down to the ground.

Why it won’t happen: He is not the only target on the Gunners’ radar and negotiations between the two parties have yet to begin.

Prediction: This transfer saga should run and run until close to the August deadline, but has plenty of legs.

Rating: 7/10
