JORGINHO

Manchester City and Napoli are close to completing a £43m (Dh208.4m) deal for the Napoli midfielder, reports the Guardian.

Pep Guardiola is keen to strengthen his midfield this summer with the Italy international viewed as ideal competition for Fernandinho who turned 33 in May.

The 26-year-old, who made 33 Serie A appearances last season, was tracked by many of Europe’s elite clubs but has opted to sign for the Etihad Stadium side.

YUSSUF POULSEN

West Ham United are interested in signing RB Leipzig’s Danish forward, Calciomercato reports.

Lazio winger Felipe Anderson remains a key target for the Hammers, but the East London side are now being linked with the versatile attacker who starred at the World Cup.

Poulsen, who still has three years remaining on his contract at Red Bull Arena Leipzig, scored just four goals last season but his ability to play up top or out wide would be a real filip for new boss Manuel Pellegrini.

BENJAMIN PAVARD

Arsenal and Tottenham face competition from Napoli for the highly-rated Frenchman, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The 22-year-old has been impressive for Les Bleus in the World Cup this summer, stealing the headlines with a stunning goal in the 4-2 win over Argentina last weekend.

Although Stuttgart want Pavard to stay, they are realistic of their hopes of keeping the player and an exit is likely to take place next summer.
