ANDRE GOMES

Arsenal are set to step up their interest in signing the Barcelona midfielder, according to the Independent.

The 24-year-old is likely to be allowed to leave the Camp Nou for less than the €35 million fee (Dh150m) Barca shelled out for his signature in the summer of 2016.

With Philippe Coutinho‘s arrival and Gremio star Arthur incoming, Gomes’ first-team chances are limited. And with new Gunners boss Unai Emery looking to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season, the Portuguese has emerged as a key target for the North London side.

WILLIAN

Chelsea have rejected a £50m (Dh242.4m) offer from Barcelona for their Brazilian winger, Sky Sports claims.

While the Blues refused to sell, Willian’s future hangs in the balance and he is said to be open to a move away from Stamford Bridge.

The 29-year-old has made over 200 appearances since moving to West London in 2013, scoring 14 goals and providing nine assists in all competitions last season.
