The summer transfer window is open and across the globe there is a frenzy of speculation as players and coaches look for their next moves.

GIANLUIGI BUFFON

The Juventus and Italy legend is closing in on a free transfer move to Paris Saint-Germain within the coming days, L’Equipe reports.

Buffon, 40, played his last game for the Turin giants in May after 17 years at the club but did not officially retire.

Since then, he has been a free agent and is poised to sign a two-year contract with the Ligue 1 champions.

New Parisian boss Thomas Tuchel is keen to bolster his squad in all areas as well as add vital experience, with Buffon bringing that in abundance.

Current goalkeepers Alphonse Areola and Kevin Trapp could both move on during the summer transfer window.

DALEY BLIND

Ajax have moved to re-sign their former star who is deemed surplus to requirements at Manchester United.

According to De Telegraaf, the Dutch side want to capture the 28-year-old’s signature this summer and bring him ‘home’.

Blind, who was born in Amsterdam, made over 100 appearances for Ajax between 2008 and 2014, before switching to Old Trafford four years ago.

He has, however, found first-team football hard to come by under Jose Mourinho and Ajax are hopeful they can clinch a cut-price deal for his services.

Netherlands international Blind featured in just seven Premier League games last season.

 

RENATO SANCHES

The 20-year-old Portuguese midfielder will be given a chance to prove his worth at Bayern Munich under new boss Niko Kovac.

Speaking at a press conference, Kovac said that he suspected he would stay at the Bundesliga giants having returned from a miserable campaign at relegated Swansea city.

Lack of form and injuries disrupted his time in Wales while Portugal overlooked him for their World Cup squad.

Sanches still has plenty of time on his side to fulfill the potential which led to Bayern paying Benfica €35 million (Dh149m) for his signature in May 2016.
