The summer transfer window is open and across the globe there is a frenzy of speculation as players and coaches look for their next moves.

LUCAS TORREIRA

Arsenal are chasing Uruguay’s World Cup star, the Daily Mail reports.

Torreira, who plies his trade with Sampdoria in Serie A, is the subject of a £25 million (Dh121m) raid from the Gunners once his stellar campaign with the South American side is over this summer.

At just 22, the defensive midfielder is billed as one of the best talents in world football but has no shortage of admirers following a series of glittering displays, helping Uruguay through to a quarter-final berth against France.

Torreira has been the perfect foil for another up-and-coming star, Rodrigo Bentancur, in the La Celeste engine room.

Torreira kept Cristiano Ronaldo under wraps on Saturday night.

 

JUAN FERNANDO QUINTERO

Tottenham are trying to sign Porto’s Colombia star, Argentine newspaper La Nueva reports.

The attacker, who is currently on loan at River Plate, has stood out during this summer’s World Cup in Russia and is apparently also wanted by Real Madrid.

However, Los Millonarios have an agreement in place with Porto as part of their loan arrangement in which they can make Quintero’s move permanent for just £3m (Dh14.5m).

Even still, Spurs are convinced they can lure the 25-year-old to the Premier League with the prospect of Champions League football and a brand new sparkling stadium soon to be finished.

Quintero has been impressive for Colombia.

 

MOUSA DEMBELE

Inter Milan are interested in signing Tottenham‘s central midfield powerhouse, according to the Daily Mail.

The 30-year-old, who is currently part of Roberto Martinez’s World Cup squad with Belgium, is at the top of the San Siro club’s transfer wishlist.

Apparently, Inter have planned meetings with Dembele’s agents and will look to complete a move for the former Fulham man.

Dembele has just one year left on his deal with Spurs, which could convince the north London club offload him now in order to receive a big fee for his services.

The Nerazzurri have had a busy window and already landed Radja Nainggolan from Roma.
