DANIELE RUGANI

Chelsea are very close to completing a deal for the Juventus centre-back, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian defender, 23, is on the verge of a £31m (Dh151m) switch to Stamford Bridge while David Luiz is soon set to depart.

The west Londoners also view Rugani as a long-term replacement for Gary Cahill.

Juve are happy to let the centre-back leave the club, with reports suggesting Old Lady boss Massimiliano Allegri wants to bring in either Atletico Madrid cult hero Diego Godin or Ajax young gun Matthijs de Ligt.

Set for the Premier League: Rugani.

EVER BANEGA

Arsenal have summoned talks with the Sevilla star’s agent, Marcelo Simonian, in the hope of bringing him to the Emirates.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Gunners are interested in the Argentine international, who of course played under Unai Emery at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.

Banega, 29, is reportedly happy with life in Andalusia but may see the opportunity to play in the Premier League as potentially the last big move of his career.

It does though remain to be seen whether Sevilla will allow the midfielder to leave the club.

Ever Banega has been part of Argentina’s disappointment in Russia.
