The transfer window is well and truly open.

With the rumours growing in pace and volume during this ‘silly season’, it can be difficult and painstaking to separate the stories of some legitimacy from the rest of the white noise.

Fortunately, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to do it for you.

Below, you’ll find some of the latest transfer news churned out of the rumour mill broken down and analysed for your benefit along with our calculated predictions.

JAN OBLAK – ATLETICO MADRID TO REAL MADRID

Why it will happen: Los Blancos are chasing a new goalkeeper this summer as new boss Julen Lopetegui eyes a long-term replacement for Keylor Navas. Oblak certainly fits the bill given he has underlined his status as the best man between the sticks in La Liga.

Why it won’t happen: There is almost a gentlemen’s agreement in place between Atleti and the Whites that big transfer deals don’t happen between the two city rivals, so that could prove to be a sticking point.

Prediction: Atletico want to rebuild again under Diego Simeone this summer and the 25-year-old remains a key part of his plans.

Rating – 5/10

Jan Oblak has grown in stature.

STEFAN SAVIC – ATLETICO MADRID TO CHELSEA

Why it will happen: The towering centre-back has previous Premier League experience with Manchester City and would be a good addition to the Blues’ defence, with David Luiz set to depart and Gary Cahill showing his age last season.

Why it won’t happen: Juventus are desperate for more firepower in defence and could offer the 27-year-old Montenegro international Champions League football, something out of Chelsea’s hands.

Prediction: Having been left out of the Europa League final against Marseille, Savic would have been naturally disappointed and may feel this is the perfect time to move on.

Rating – 8/10

Stefan Savic could make a return to the Premier League.

LUKASZ FABIANSKI – SWANSEA TO WEST HAM

Why it will happen: The former Arsenal goalkeeper wants to continue to ply his trade in the Premier League following the Swans’ relegation from the top-flight.

Why it won’t happen: Juventus are desperate for more firepower in defence and could offer the 27-year-old Montenegro international Champions League football, something out of Chelsea’s hands.

Prediction: The veteran goalkeeper is expected to jump at the chance to move back to London and become part of Manuel Pellegrini’s new plans at the London Stadium.

Rating – 9/10

Polish stopper Lukasz Fabianski is tipped to move.
