The Atletico Madrid striker has been heavily linked to La Liga champions Barcelona in the past few months and this chapter could well come to a close when he does reveal the road ahead.

Meanwhile, Barca maestro Lionel Messi has heaped praise on the Frenchman in a couple of interviews lately, rating him among the world’s top players.

The Argentina international admitted that in order to get back to winning ways in the Champions League, Barcelona need to have the best players and Griezmann is one of them.

“I don’t know if he’s the priority. It depends on the technical secretary and coach. I’m just saying that to win the Champions League you need to have the best. And he is very good!”
