RAPHAEL VARANE

Manchester United have expressed an interest in the Real Madrid star, the Daily Mail reports. The French international has established himself as one of the world’s best centre-backs during his time at the Bernabeu. And the 25-year-old is on United’s transfer wishlist as they consider to bolster their options in defence ahead of next season. Jose Mourinho has convinced the club to sign Varane as he has first-hand experience of his talents having signed him from Lens during his time as Real Madrid manager in 2011.

MOUSA DEMBELE

Juventus are tracking the star midfielder as he approaches the final year of his contract at Tottenham, Calciomercato claims. The Belgian international turns 31 in July and has also been linked with Napoli and Roma. While the Nerazzurri made an initial offer for around €10m (Dh49.2m) recently, it is believed Juventus will go far closer to the €30m (Dh129.7m) asking price for the former Fulham man. Regardless of Dembele’s future, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are keen to strengthen their midfield ahead of next season.

FRENKIE DE JONG

Barcelona have contacted Ajax over their highly-rated defender, according to AS. The 21-year-old started 25 times for the Eredivisie side last term, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process. Ernesto Valverde is reportedly keen to sign De Jong as he looks to bolster his defence ahead of next season. The Dutch U21 star, who still has four years remaining on his contract, has also been monitored by Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea.
