LUCAS TORREIRA

Arsenal are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Sampdoria ace Lucas Torreira, according to Italian news outlet ANSA.

The 22-year-old, who is set to star in the World Cup for Uruguay this summer, is apparently keen on a switch to the Gunners while new boss Unai Emery is prepared to meet his £22 million (Dh108m) release clause.

Torreira operates in defensive midfield and would significantly boost Arsenal’s options in the middle of the park, with Jack Wilshere set to leave on a free transfer and there also being doubts over Aaron Ramsey’s long-term future.

Serie A side Sampdoria have reportedly lined-up Lokomotiv Zagreb man Lovro Majer as Torreira’s replacement.

Lucas Torreira is set to be a Gunner.

N’GOLO KANTE

Paris Saint-Germain are tracking the Chelsea midfield stalwart and could launch a bid after the World Cup, The Sun reports.

With uncertainty at Stamford Bridge over whether Antonio Conte will be at the club next season and owner Roman Abramovich’s future, it could be a summer of wholesale change in west London.

Marathon man Kante is high on new coach Thomas Tuchel’s wishlist while the 27-year-old’s agent Karim Douis apparently met with representatives from the Parc des Princes club recently.

Kante could be keen on a return to his homeland, where he previously played with Boulogne and Caen.

N’Golo Kante is set to be a key man for France in the World Cup.

WILLIAN JOSE

Everton have lined-up the Real Sociedad striker as the man to bolster the attacking ranks at Goodison Park, Mundo Deportivo reports.

New boss Marco Silva and Director of Football Marcel Brands are set to shake-up the Toffees squad this summer and believe the Spaniard could bring welcome firepower.

Jose, 26, is also a target of Borussia Dortmund but it is thought Everton are better-placed to meet Sociedad’s £50m (Dh246m) price-tag for the player.

With Oumar Niasse’s future uncertain, it has left the Blues with just Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin as the only two recognised first-team forward players.

Willian Jose hit 20 goals this past season.
