MATTHIJS DE LIGT

Manchester City have launched a bid of €60m (Dh260m) for Ajax centre-back, Tuttomercatoweb reports.

The 18-year-old is considered one of the best defensive prospects in world football – and has attracted interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Pep Guardiola is keen on the Dutch international, whom he views as a long-term option to replace Vincent Kompany.

Barcelona are believed to be hot favourites to land his signature, but Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City have been all been linked with the Dutchman.

JEAN-MICHAEL SERI

West Ham are set to battle with Chelsea over the elusive Nice midfielder, reports The Sun.

The 26-year-old’s release clause is considered to be around £33m (Dh173.2m), but the price could be well worth it for the Hammers to replenish their midfield this summer, especially after only winning just 10 Premier League games this season.

Seri also attracted the attention of Barcelona, Chelsea and Man United last year, but the North London side appear to be in pole position to sign the Ivory Coast international.
