The Premier League transfer window is now open and the market in the rest of Europe will spark into life soon (June 8).

With the transfer rumours growing in pace and volume during this ‘silly season’, it can be difficult and painstaking to separate the stories of some legitimacy from the rest of the noise.

Fortunately, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to do it for you.

Below, you’ll find some of the latest transfer news churned out of the rumour mill broken down and analysed for your benefit along with our calculated predictions.

ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI – FROM BAYERN MUNICH TO JUVENTUS

Why it will happen: At 29, the Pole has hinted that he wants to secure one last final move while he is at the peaks of his powers. Talk of a transfer to Real Madrid seems to have died down, given Juventus potentially a free passage to sign him.

Why it won’t happen: Bayern Munich, who face somewhat of a rebuilding job next season under new boss Niko Kovac, will be reluctant to sell their star striker and his €80m (Dh343m) price tag is sure to be a stumbling block for most sides.

Prediction: It is all set to be potentially a defining summer for Lewandowski one way or the other, so expect his future to be finalised after the World Cup.

Rating – 7/10

Lewandowski is linked with a switch to Turin.

DAVY KLAASSEN – FROM EVERTON TO BESIKTAS

Why it will happen: The Dutch midfielder has endured a torrid time at Goodison Park and with there being no guarantee new boss Marco Silva will rate him, his prospects of regular first-team football lie away from Everton.

Why it won’t happen: Admirably, the 25-year-old has insisted he wants to stay and fight for his place. Given he is on a long-term contract, there is no way the Blues can shift him easily.

Prediction: The former Ajax captain can reignite his club and international career with the Turkish giants and start to get back on the right path.

Rating – 8/10

Davy Klaassen featured just seven times in the Premier League last season.

STEVEN N’ZONZI – FROM SEVILLA TO ARSENAL

Why it will happen: The powerful France midfielder is thought to be keen to reunite with former Sevilla boss Unai Emery at the Emirates, and indeed return to the Premier League having previously plied his trade with Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City.

Why it won’t happen: Given the 29-year-old is busy with World Cup football over the next few weeks, it could hold up the deal and enable other clubs to talk to the star.

Prediction: Emery is the key factor in this prospective transfer and if he fully pursues his man, expect it to go through.

Rating – 8/10

Steven N’Zonzi is wanted by Arsenal.
