Mateo Kovacic has no intention of leaving Real Madrid this summer, according to the Croatian star’s agent.

The Los Blancos central midfielder, who impressed against Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich in the Champions League, has struggled to hold down a place consistently in a high-class midfield containing Luka ModricToni Kroos and Isco.

Manchester United, Tottenham and Juventus have all been linked with the 24-year-old’s signature since January, but the former Inter Milan man is set to remain at the Bernabeu for the foreseeable.

In an interview with Sportske Novosti, Kovacic’s representative Nikky Vuksan revealed his client has not considered leaving Los Blancos.

“Kovacic made history with Real on Saturday (in the Champions League final) and two days later the media write about his future.

“We haven’t thought about leaving Real or interest from other clubs.

“But, the summer is long and who knows what can happen after the World Cup.”

He added: “Also, it is a compliment to Mateo that every summer there are rumours about how the biggest clubs want him, even though he is not in Real’s XI.”

The combative midfield man, who started his career at Dinamo Zagreb, is contracted to the Whites until 2021.
