Christian Eriksen has been heavily linked to Barcelona this season but Real Madrid have now entered the race for the Danish international, according Marca.

With Andres Iniesta leaving Camp Nou for Japan, the Catalans have been targeting the Tottenham midfielder as a potential replacement for the World Cup winning Spaniard.

However, if they don’t move swiftly, they could risk losing out to their La Liga rivals.

Madrid are starting to consider options to replace a 32-year-old Luka Modric.

Eriksen has been in sensational form this season, hitting double figures for goals and assists in the Premier League.
