RIYAD MAHREZ

Manchester City are hoping to complete the £75 million (Dh366.8m) signing of the elusive Leicester star this week, according to the Daily Mail. The 27-year-old had a productive 2017-18 campaign for the Foxes, scoring 13 goals and providing 10 assists in 44 appearances. Although he would not be guaranteed a place in Pep Guardiola’s starting XI, the Algerian would provide competition and offer a different option to Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane and Bernardo Silva. And with Algeria failing to qualify for the World Cup, Mahrez would benefit from a full pre-season to adjust to Guardiola’s tactics, with the Premier League champions heading to America in July.

MOUSA DEMBELE

Napoli and Inter are tracking the star midfielder as he approaches the final year of his contract at Tottenham, Gazzetta dello Sport claims. The 30-year-old has been a thorn in Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season, making 42 appearances in all competitions. But the Belgian international has shelved extension talks until after the World Cup this summer. Regardless of Dembele’s future, Spurs are keen to strengthen their midfield with Atalanta’s Bryan Cristante and PSG’s Adrien Rabiot among the key targets.

STEPHAN LICHTSTEINER

Arsenal are closing in on a deal for the highly-rated Juventus right back, according to Corriere dello Sport. The 34-year-old is set to leave the Old Lady after seven years when his deal with the Serie A champions expires this week. The Swiss international has won 14 trophies with the Turin outfit since joining from Lazio in 2011. With new Gunners boss Unai Emery on the hunt for defensive reinforcements, the experienced Lichtsteiner has emerged as a serious target and is available on a free transfer
