Arsenal are hoping to seal a deal for the in-demand RB Leipzig winger, but will have to first fend off interest from Atletico Madrid.

According to Calciomercato, new boss Unai Emery wants the £50 million-rated (Dh244m) star to provide competition for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

The Gunners’ pursuit of the 26-year-old, who is set to star in this summer’s World Cup for Sweden, will not be straight forward though.

Diego Simeone’s Atletico are also keen admirers of the attacker and can offer him Champions League football next term, as can Juventus, the other club who have been linked with his services.

The Nice forward, who is out of contract next month, is apparently close to moving to Parma.

According to Corriere della Sera, the former Inter Milan, Manchester City, AC Milan and Liverpool star is set to return to Serie A following two successful seasons with the French Riviera outfit.

Balotelli and Nice have failed to agree new contractual terms, meaning the 27-year-old is available on a free this summer.

Parma are back in the Italian top flight next season, just three years after the Crusaders were declared bankrupt.

Balotelli netted 26 goals this past season.

New West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini could make the Manchester City legend his first summer signing, according to The Daily Star.

The Ivory Coast midfielder, who will leave the Etihad Stadium next month and is available on a free transfer, was a key part of the Chilean’s 2013/14 Premier League title-winning Sky Blues side.

Toure has made no secret of his desire to continue plying his trade in the top-flight of English football, and is reportedly willing to lower his wage demands in order to make that happen.

Pellegrini faces a huge rebuilding job at the east London club over the coming months following an underwhelming campaign where fan unrest dominated the headlines.
