Gerard Deulofeu unlikely to return to Barcelona next season

Gerard Deulofeu is set to search for a new club this summer with it looking increasingly unlikely he will return to Barcelona, according to Spanish radio station Cadena SER.

The former Everton winger, who has spent the second-half of this season on loan at Watford after failing to re-establish himself under Ernesto Valervde, is resigned to leaving Camp Nou.

Deulofeu made his fairytale return to the Catalan giants last summer, with Blaugrana exercising a buyback clause in the initial deal they struck with the Toffees.

But, the 24-year-old struggled to find the form that had seen him perform well during a loan stint at AC Milan last term, and this year, has sparingly featured for the Hornets.

Barcelona are thought to be willing to listen to offers for his services at the end of the season while a long-term stay in the Premier League appears unlikely.

Meanwhile, Deulofeu was recently aggrieved at Barca for not featuring during their La Liga title-winning celebrations, despite making 10 league outings earlier in the campaign.
