Though the summer transfer window is still a few months away, that hasn’t stopped the rumours of players potentially being on the move.

Across the world of football, there remains plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

MIRALEM PJANIC

The talented Juventus midfielder is being monitored closely by Paris Saint-Germain, Italian outlet Corriere della Sera reports.

Bosnian Pjanic, who started his career in Ligue 1 with Metz before moving to Lyon, is no stranger to France’s top flight and PSG are ready to offer the 27-year-old a double-your-money deal.

Although the Old Lady have no intention of allowing the €50m-rated (Dh438m) former Roma man to leave Turin, PSG will reportedly flex their financial muscles once this season is out.

Pjanic could earn up to €8 million-per-year (Dh70m) if he forces a transfer to the Parc des Princes side, with the Parisians set to undergo big change this summer following their last 16 exit in the Champions League.

Pjanic is a key man for the Italian giants.

JACK WILSHERE

Everton have emerged as the frontrunners to sign the Arsenal midfielder this summer, according to The Sun.

The Gunners star is out of contract at the end of the season and has yet to agree terms on a new deal, with talks seemingly stalled between the north London side and the player’s representatives.

Wilshere, who has forced his way back into Gareth Southgate’s England squad and is set to head to Russia for the World Cup finals, is believed to want to stay at his boyhood club but may be left with no choice but to move on.

The Toffees are looking to strengthen again and while there is doubt over the long-term future of boss Sam Allardyce, 26-year-old Wilshere could link-up with former team-mate Theo Walcott at Goodison Park.

AC Milan are also said to be interested in the talent.

JONAS HECTOR

Liverpool will go head-to-head with Juventus to sign the Germany international left-back after this summer’s World Cup.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Kop club are leading the chase to sign the versatile 27-year-old, who can also operate in central defence and across a flat midfield four.

Relegation-threatened FC Koln, who are second from bottom in the Bundesliga table, are all but resigned to losing Hector – especially if the Cologne-based outfit go down.

A clause in the German’s contract states that he is allowed to leave the RheinEnergieStadion for less than €10 million (Dh 45.2m) if Alexander Wehrle’s men fail to escape the dreaded drop.

Hector is set to star in the World Cup in Russia.
