Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez says a move to Inter Milan has almost been “finalised”.
The 20-year-old star, who is considered one of the best young strikers in the world, has been the subject of interest from several European clubs, but it seems the Serie A giants have stolen a march on their rivals.
Speaking to Argentine broadcaster TyC Sports in Manchester, Lautaro said: “It’s pretty much all finalized.
“When I left Argentina there were just a few details to sort out. When I go back there’ll be a meeting with my agent and everything will be arranged then.”
The young striker is in Manchester with the rest of Argentina’s squad ahead of Friday’s friendly against Italy, a match where he could be set for his international debut.
Racing sporting director Diego Milito, who has served as a mentor to Martinez, is said to have been instrumental in Martinez’s soon-to-be confirmed move to Inter, where Milito became a club legend during five successful years at the San Siro.
