LUKA MODRIC

Real Madrid have apparently made it their priority to sign a long-term replacement for the Croatian playmaker this summer, according to Marca.

The 32-year-old star is still a key part of Zinedine Zidane’s side and very much the man that makes the Whites tick but he has been linked recently with both Arsenal and Liverpool.

Modric has a couple of years left on his existing Bernabeu deal but Madrid are conscious of his advancing years.

While Isco has led Real’s new generation in midfield, the Spaniard has struggled for form this term as has Toni Kroos in 2018.

Modric moved to Madrid in 2012 from Tottenham.

AMADOU HAIDARA

Tottenham are monitoring the progress of the rising Red Bull Salzburg star, according to The Sun.

The 20-year-old midfielder has impressed in his breakthrough season with the Austrian giants and helped the club to the quarter-finals of the Europa League, where they lost over two legs to Borussia Dortmund.

Haidara is in the same mold as Mousa Dembele, being a box-to-box midfielder capable of scoring and creating goals.

Now a full Mali international, Spurs could chance their arm with a summer bid as Mauricio Pochettino goes about strengthening the north London club.

Haidara has impressed this term.

TOM CAIRNEY

Fulham are set to spark a bidding war for the midfielder this summer, who is attracting interest from several Premier League sides including Watford and Newcastle.

According to The Mirror, The 27-year-old has starred for the Championship side but will be allowed to leave the club for a £20million (Dh102m) fee should the west Londoners not gain promotion to the Premier League.

Cairney, who made his full Scotland debut earlier this month, has weighed in with two goals and four assists from central areas for Slavisa Jokanovic’s men.

However, it remains to be seen where his future lies and it’s very much dependent on which direction the Craven Cottage outfit head in.

Championship star: Cairney.
